ATTENTION! Beacons work only with ELA P ID models
1. Download Device manager admin.Android app, select option by which you want to configure ela beacon. It is possible by NFC or Bluetooth.
Selecting NFC you have to read the configuration from the beacon by placing device on back of your phone, after configuration is received you can seperate them.
Selecting Bluetooth you have to find it by ID which is placed on a device.
Then select iBeacon, copy UUID (it will be needed for later because it will be used for all client beacons, in other words, one client one UUID, different client different UUID). Here we need to change the Major and Minor, by them You will be able to identify the beacons.
For example Major 0001 and Minor 0101 and press Save. By that it will be saved into the beacon (for the next beacon increase the numbers by one, as an example next beacon could be 0002 0102, these numbers later MUST be added to the virtual trailer description
2. Open Ruptela configurator, upload Your configuration, and press on Wireless options > Beacon list.
Select iBeacon paste Your UUID from app into Major Minor and MAC enter the maximum amount of symbol “*” and Flag “T” then press Add.
Expiration time - enter the duration in seconds, for which the beacon should remain in the list after the last frame is received, default value - 30
Close the Beacon List window, open IO events options and enable IO’s:
Wireless enabled event on Change, priority Low
Wireless trailer ID event on Change, priority Low
Send the configuration to the device.
3. After the device is configured, and Beacon is near the device, in raw data You are getting
For example, we have UUID FFFFFFFF1418806037E155AABFC22A0B, and for wireless trailer ID we get a bit longer ID FFFFFFFF1418806037E155AABFC22A0B0001010100000000, by coloured numbers You see that they are Major and Minor which was configured in app.
4. Ask support to create a Virtual Trailer object.
It must be created as that:
Create it for the client.
Object type Virtual trailer
Hardware BT beacon Trailer
5. A new long ID must be added to the Trailer ID BT
6. For assignation to work with multiple trailers with another ela beacon Major and Minor have to be changed but UUID must stay the same
