Description:

If you have not modified the order before by default, the device sends records according to the configured data-sending settings, sending the oldest records first.

In a typical configuration, records are sent regularly, and the device does not have a lot of unsent records in the buffer, thus the record-sending order has little effect on device operation. As records are sent along with the operation.

This feature has a more in-depth use when the device goes offline and then recovers service. In this scenario, this feature has a more significant role. As it will determine how the data stored in the internal memory of the device will be sent to the server. It is often used when the user is interested to get the latest information available.

It is important to bear in mind that if you decide to change the order of records differently to the default order. The feature cannot be used with the TrustTrack server or any other server that does not accept such an order of records.

The TrustTrack server does not admit the <Newest record first> record order.

Requirements:

  1. The latest configurator is installed, you can find the latest one at the following link: https://doc.ruptela.com/articles/downloads-publication/device-center

  2. The latest FW is installed on the device, you can find the latest one at the following link: https://doc.ruptela.com/articles/downloads-publication/downloads-home

Actions:

IMPORTANT: If the device is configured to send the newest records first, it MUST not send any data to TrustTrack or any other server that does not support this record order.

To enable this simply Press CTRL+L to reveal the Record order settings next to the Send identification string check box. The following will appear:

If this has not been done before for certain the records have been sent Oldest record first.
