Description of the issue: The client complains that the vehicle is displayed in incorrect location. The last known location (several last records show that the vehicle was located near or inside the underground/multilevel parking.
Possible causes of the issue:
The vehicle left the underground parking but could not acquire GPS fix before Stationary Navigation filtering is switched ON.
Troubleshooting steps:
1. Open the webuser according to Basic troubleshooting for Car sharing objects (Ride Share)
2. Find the object by the plate number (object name) in TT2:
3. Navigate to "Analyze by coordinates":
4. Turn on the following parameters to be visible in the graph:
Digital input 4
GSM signal strength
Power supply voltage
Satellites
6. Check satellites signal. Satellites count and GNSS status shall be checked by sending SMS command:
cspsm coords
7. In case the device responds with more than 4 satellites and GNSS state 3:
2022-02-14 17:36, lat. 54.6997683, long. 25.2558200, alt. 127.3, sat. 22, dir. 325.90, hdop 70, state 3
It means the device has GPS fix at the moment- device reset will help (SMS command "cspsm reset"). After reset, send SMS command "cspsm coords" (makes process a bit faster) and the location will update in 1-2 minutes.
Note: In case you receive a different answer (sat. 0), navigate to article here.
8. Check whether the device configuration has Navigation filtering improvements:
The objects may have one of these DIFF files uploaded on top of the BASE configuration:
root_SM5_TBL600_GNSSFiltering_Manual_Delay600s_20kmh_HighFilter_diff_06.25.19.fz5d
root_SM5_GPSNavigationFiltering_Delay120s_Speed25_High_diff.fz5d
9. In case the device has only the BASE configuration, you can upload DIFF file with relevant fixes:
root_SM5_TBL600_GNSSFiltering_Manual_Delay600s_20kmh_HighFilter_diff_06.25.19.fz5d
This file will enable two settings:
Temporary blacklist, fixing some DEVICE_OFFLINE issues;
Manual stationary navigation filtering, which resolves majority of "frozen location" cases.
