Recommended tools:

Application

Download link

Notepad++

Steps:

1- Create a Jira consultation asking for the Language file of the Ontrack Go app. Specify the target language.

2- Send the file to the client with the following instructions:

  • Open the file attached using Notepad or Notepad++

  • There are two main items to be translated. DO NOT TRANSLATE ANYTHING BESIDES IT!

  • On the beginning of the file, the items are laid out in the following tree like manner. Translate the part in bold:

"stopMapDownloadDialogTitle": "Stop downloading \"{name}\"?",
"@stopMapDownloadDialogTitle": {
"description": "Title text for stop map downloading confirmation dialog"
},

  • On the ending of the file, the items are laid out in the following manner. Translate the part in bold:

"notifyTitleCreatedTask": "New task has been received",
"notifyTitleUpdatedTask": "Task has been updated",
"notifyTitleDeletedTask": "Task has been deleted",
"notifyBodyReceivedFile": "File has been received",
"noDataFound": "No data found",
"internalError": "Internal error",
"sectionChatTitle": "Chat",

  • Once you have finished the translation, please send the file back to us.

3- Once the file is translated by the client, send it back to the Jira consultation for the developers to add it to the application.

Result:

Translated file in Spanish (noted in red the parts that SHOULD NOT be translated):
