Description:

This article will contain information on Trust Track web application rebranding.

Introduction

Ruptela provides TrustTrack as a service in a subscription-based manner. Therefore, to use it the end-users have to pay a monthly fee.

When selling this service to Service Providers, they are not usually the end-user, most commonly they act as Trust Track resellers, this is why we provide Trust Track as a white-label product in such cases.

A White-label product is a product that a company can brand as its own, but in our case, is a software that can be customized (rebranded) and look-alike as it was developed/owned by the company which is reselling this product.

Workflow

We need to know from the Service Provider what option of rebranding he will be choosing:

If Rebranding Option 1 is chosen, here are the steps to follow:

    1. Get from the service provider the following information:

      1. The subdomain name that they would like to use. For example, if the SP name is "abcde" and they would like to use their name as the subdomain, the subdomain would be:

        abcde.fm-track.com
      2. Logos in SVG format

        • Optimal size (in pixels) for each logo:

          • TT2 main logo: 240 x 60

          • TT2 internal logo: 20 x 20

          • TT2 mobile logo: 80 x 60

99 - User authentication only via token: ONLY ENABLE THIS OPTION IF YOU A SURE OF WHAT YOU ARE DOING

This is a special feature for service providers who do not want to use our authentication system (login and password) and have their own authentication systems.

This will be applied to all SP clients and web users. It means, that all SP clients will access Trust Track 2 system only via your system, they will not be able to login via Trust Track anymore. All SP web users password management will be disabled from Trust Track 2, and they will only be handled by SP own system.

To summarize, ALL web users under this SP will NOT be able to login to Trust Track 2 system directly with login and password.

Instead, the SP system will need to generate an access token via our API using their own API key and the user login. Then, using this token on a specific URL, access to Trust Track will be granted.

18. Open a Jira Task to add the client's domain to our Trust Track mobile app (iPhone and Android)

    • Jira Project:Trust Track 2 (GUI)

    • Issue Type: Consultation

    • Issue Summary: Rebranding TrustTrack App: abcde.fm-track.com

    • Issue Description:
      *None required*

Note: After this task is executed it usually takes 2 hours for the Android app to be updated in the Playstore and usually takes 2 days for the iOS app to be updated in the AppleStore

If Rebranding Option 2 is chosen, here are the steps to follow:

      1. Get from the service provider the following information:

        1. The custom domain will be used to access the Trust Track web application.
          Example:

          abc.clientdomain.com
        2. Logos in SVG format

          • Optimal size (in pixels) for each logo:

            • TT2 main logo: 240 x 60

            • TT2 internal logo: 20 x 20

            • TT2 mobile logo: 80 x 60

        3. Web Page title (information that will be shown in the browsers tab) - More info

        4. Web Page description (information will NOT be shown and only populate HTML meta content tag) - More Info

Few examples of what can be customized with pictures:

  • TrustTrack 2 URL

    • Default: track2.ruptela.com (TT2 main domain)

    • Can be used through: whatever.fm-track.com (Customizable subdomain, owned by Ruptela)

    • Can be used through: www.clientdomain.com(Customizable domain owned by the Client)

  • TrustTrack 2 main logo (seen in login/reports)

    mceclip1.png
  • TrustTrack 2 square dots logo (seen in top left corner)

    mceclip2.png
  • TrustTrack 2 logo in mobile version

    mceclip3.png
  • Sender email address in email notifications

    mceclip4.png
  • Sender name in SMS notifications - Info

Note 1: Logos must be properly cropped (logo should touch the edges of the screen, see image) and over a transparent background.

Note 2: Use an online converter like https://www.aconvert.com/image/tiff-to-svg/ to convert and resize existing files if the client is unable to provide a proper file. However, it is much better if you create the vector file from scratch instead of converting it from an existing image).
