Description of the issue: The customer needs assistance using TeamViewer. There is a possibility to install apps in the client's computer remotely.

Most common usage cases:

  • Configure Tachograph app;

  • Company card not visible in the system;

  • Device Center troubleshooting;

  • Device testing in corner cases.

Tools needed:

Application name

Download link

TeamViever

Troubleshooting steps:

  1. Ask the client whether they have TeamViever app in their computer;

  2. In case the client does not have any of these applications, ask them to download TeamViewer and install it in their computer;
    Note: in some occasions, the customers do not have permissions to install apps in their computers. In this case, you can try to explain the steps by phone.

  3. Ask the customer to provide you "Partner ID" (the client should see this code):

  4. Enter this "Partner ID" in your TeamViewer app and click "Connect":

  5. Ask the client to tell you the Password (view visible by the client):

    Note: passwords almost always are made of lowercase letters and numbers. Sometimes it is difficult to hear the exact letter via the phone, so ask the customer to tell the password by coded words ("Alpha, Aeta, Charlie, Delta...") or any other words understandable for both of you ("Antanas, Bronius, Citrina, Darius..." / "Andrzej, Beata, Cytryna, Dariusz...")

  6. Enter the password in this field and click "Connect":

  7. The client's desktop will load in a few seconds. In case the client is playing music, ask them to stop it as it can make it difficult to use Telephony app.

  8. Perform necessary troubleshooting;

  9. When troubleshooting is finished, logout from the session by clicking "X" at the top bar:

  10. After logging out, the window to provide a comment appears. Simply click link/button "No comments needed", as it has no significance here.

Expected result:

You are able to see the customer's desktop and move the mouse pointer in their computer and perform necessary troubleshooting.
