Description of the issue:
There are two types of validation errors:
One of them is when the file icon is shown in red and can be downloaded, it contains a few non-critical errors, such as missing a few hours of data. This file has no legal value. A new download is advised.
Another type is when main validation has failed and an error message appears. The file remains hidden in the back-end and cannot be downloaded by the client because it contains critical errors, it is not a legally valid.
Background information:
Files are validated by verifying signatures of data blocks. This is done using public keys of certificates on multiple levels (ERCA (root), member state (country) and equipment (tachograph or driver card)).
The basic validation steps of a file are the following:
The embedded member state certificate is extracted from the file and validated using the ERCA public key (ERCA keys are stored as resources in TPS).
The embedded equipment certificate is extracted from the file and validated using the member state public key.
All signatures of all data blocks are verified using the equipment public key.
Gen1 and Gen2 files contain different types of certificates - RSA and ECC respectively.

Check the file for error, you have two viewing options:
Vehicle Unit > Events and Faults > VU Event Record
Vehicle Unit > Activities > Activities *Vertical View*
Error list:
"stored user data integrity error": The signature is invalid and tachograph must be taken to workshop for review, see for reference:
Inform client about the errors found and the need to check the tachograph, but do not provide the damaged file to the client.
If an unknown error is found, please open a consultation.
Validation error can be bypassed if days in which the signature error occurred are not included in the download request.
