Get device factory configuration file via GrandToolAdmin

Description:

Recommended when getting the device factory configuration file (the one it was shipped to the customer with) is critical, and other methods are impractical.

Required information:

IMEI or Sales Order

Required tools:

Name

Download link

GrandToolAdmin (version 1.53 or higher)

Ask a colleague.

FortiClient VPN

Ask your manager

Steps:

1- Get the current version of GrandToolAdmin from one colleague.

2- Connect to Ruptela VPN.

3- Run GrandToolAdmin_XX.XX.XX.exe by double clicking on it

4- Search by IMEI or OrderID. In this example we use IMEI 862549040421219

5- Click on the Order ID and then on Open Order.

6- A pop-up will appear with the following information:

Order ID: ID of the commercial order this device belonged to.

Device type: Model name plus HW ID.

FW version: FW version the device was shipped with.

CFG tag: button to download the configuration file.

Lock info: Locks the device was shipped with: APN; IP; Port.

7- Click on the button besides CFG tag.

A download pop-up will appear, the file name is the OrderID:

8- Save it and close the application.
