How to change extension for multiple CFG files in bulk

Description of the issue: in some cases, there is a need to change extension (i.e.: from CFG to FT5C) for multiple files and changing manually is not practical.

Steps for changing extension of the files in bulk:

1. Create an empty folder and move the files which need to be changed to it:

IMPORTANT: all of the files in the folder must be for the same target device type! In case you have CFG files of different models (i.e.: Eco4 and Eco4 S) , create separate folders for them. Assigning incorrect extension may damage the device.

2. Click on address bar, input "cmd" and press [Enter]:

3. A command prompt window will open. Input this code after ">" symbol (example for Eco4 S/T series devices):

ren *.cfg *.fk4c

Note: replace the bolded part with the needed extension (.ft4c, .ft5c, .fl5c, and others)

4. Press [Enter]. The file extensions will change:
