Description: The client is using HyperRack smart card (company card) reader produced by Lisle Design for using multiple company cards in one place but it does not work (cards are not recognized by the Tachograph app).
Possible causes of the issue:
Incorrect physical installation;
Smart Card configuration file not updated in System files;
Company card inserted improperly;
Outdated Tachograph App;
Missing Drivers.
Troubleshooting steps:
1. Connect the reader as specified in the installation instructions (should be added to the rack itself).
2. Check the position of addressing switches (red):
3. Set up the driver file (found in the zip file attached to this article) in System files:
Note: you may need to create a request for the IT system administrator to perform this step due to security restrictions.
4. Connect the reader to the PC using USB cable and restart the Tachograph app (must be the latest version).
5. Check card position on the reader and insert the card:
If done correctly, the company cards should be recognized by the Tachograph app:
Note: it can take several seconds for all cards to appear one-by-one.
6. In some rare cases, if it still does not work, you may need to install Serial port drivers.
