Description:
Unlocking a device should be always done with the approval of both the client's sales manager.
This procedure applies to devices that use Ruptela SIM cards.
Required information:
You will need from client:

Steps:
2. Locate / create object in admin panel and go to object settings:
3. Make sure that SMS configuration password is set in “FM password” field from object settings. Our default password is rpt
IMPORTANT! SMS or USB configuration password should never be provided to client.
However, in some cases password can be blank. Check device configuration to be sure.
SMS password in device configuration and “FM password” field must match:
4. Make sure the phone number is actually the real one (you can check by searching the IMEI number on ERP>Warehouse>Traceability>Serial numbers). If it is incorrect, change it for the correct one. Note down from which provider stems the SIM card:

5. Go to Device CFG update, select required object and click on Lock/Unlock button:
6. Select SMS from “Method” drop down menu,
choose what you would like to lock/unlock
select the appropriate SMS sending platform Provider:

click on “Send” button. (at this moment device should be powered on and with GSM signal).
7. Go to SMS>Outbox and check if the SMS message has been successfully generated and sent.
Should be something like this:

8. Go to SMS>Inbox and check if the device has answered positively to the plock command.
Should be something like:
plock OK
The device is now unlocked.
9. If required, to unlock device from SIM card send the following SMS:
SMSpassword setcfg 150 0
10. To doublecheck if the device is locked/unlocked send it the following SMS:
SMSpassword plockinfo
The answer should be something like this:
plockinfo: 0,0,0,0,0,1
Where 0 means unlocked and 1 means locked in the following configuration setting order:
plockinfo: [IP lock],[port lock],[APN lock],[SIM lock to device],[PIN code],[configuration password]
